Philosophy of Science

Members of the Department have varied interests in the philosophy of science, from general philosophy of science to philsoophy of the special sciences, with a special focus on physics and biology. There are regular talks and discussion groups in philosophy of science, and each year the Department hosts an interdisciplinary and international conference in New Directions in the Foundations of Physics.
