Philosophy of Language

Philosophy of language is increasingly being pursued in ways that are informed by developments in linguistics, and Maryland is at the forefront of this movement. We already have one joint faculty appointment with Linguistics, with another to be added in the near future. The Linguistics Department here at Maryland is generally reckoned to be first rate.
